A superlative compares three or more things in English. Superlatives are used to show something has the greatest or least degree of quality. Superlatives is an adjective or adverb in a sentence. Here are some examples: Ricky is the tallest. Teddy is the shortest. Steve is the oldest. Cammy is the youngest. English is my most exciting subject. She is the most beautiful girl in class. Practice superlatives in sentences. Remember, most superlatives add -est to the end of the adjective, however, if the adjective has three syllables or more, you form the superlative with most. Have a go and make your own sentences with the superlatives list above and sentences below.
