What are plural nouns? Most plural nouns are made by adding -s to the end of the word. However, if a noun ends in 'y' we would discard the 'y' and add -ies. In other cases, we add -es to the end of the noun. For nouns ending in 'f', -ves would be added. For example: cat-cats, city-cities, tax-taxes, wolf-wolves.
