A proper noun is a specific way of identifying something. Proper nouns are written with capital letters no matter where they are located in a sentence. For example, a person's name, place or organisation. Person's name: Terry, Sam, Anita. Place: London, New York, Vancouver. Organisation: Nike, Adidas, Burberry.
