Modifiers are words that modify. Modifiers modify other words in a sentence. Modifiers can be an adjective or and adverb. The adjectives modify nouns, and the adverbs modify the verbs. For example: I'm going to the Burger Hut for a chicken burger. The pupil carefully wrote his essay. In these examples the modifiers are in bold. Check out our modifiers infographic below.
