There are four types of conditionals in English grammar. The 4 types are: zero conditional, first conditional, second conditional, and third conditional. Conditionals are structures in English that establish whether something might take place, or if a particular action is performed. Zero conditional: If you heat butter at 100 degrees, it melts. First conditional: If it's rainy at the park, we will take an umbrella. Second conditional: If I won ten million dollars, I would give it to my family. Third conditional: If the weather had been good, we would have driven to the beach. In these examples, the conditionals are in bold. Check out our list of conditionals.
